U.S. Digital Response: Building Civic Technology Across the Country
U.S. Digital Response continues to assist NYCx Innovation Fellows program, an initiative born out of the Mayor’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer, to build new tech. This program focused on minority-owned and women-owned businesses, optimizing NYC’s payment portals and a virtual programming and service finder for older adults.
USDR has also been working with Arizona State University to develop an interactive map to help individuals find their nearest polling places. This tool is a part of the Arizona Native Vote Election Protection Project led by the Indian Legal Clinic at the ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
Pre-Health Dreamers: Undocumented Students Pursuing Careers in Health and Science Webinar
Pre-Health Dreamers is hosting a webinar focused on PHD’s resources and programming, state and national policies that support undocumented students pursuing health degrees, and more on Tuesday, November 10th at 5:00 p.m.
Attendance Works’ Hedy Chang Quoted in Politico
Executive Director of Attendance Works Hedy Chang discussed the challenges around defining, recording, and increasing attendance during the pandemic in Politico’s “Missing: Millions of Students.” This story is a part of Politico’s weekly newsletter “Weekly Education: Coronavirus Special Edition.”
Attendance Works also just sent out their fall newsletter. Their newsletter includes policy recommendations, state news, research, and updated resources revised to reflect COVID-19.
Zoo Labs: Virtual Release Day Event
Zoo Labs’ Virtual Release Day will feature 10 Cultural Producers pitching their creative businesses and how they generate equity for their communities. These creative individuals are imagining ways music can be used to heal and transform.
Virtual Release Day is November 12th at 5:00 p.m.
