STEAM:CODERSSTEAM:CODERS was recently featured in Pasadena Now in an article titled STEAM:CODERS – Empowering the Next Generation of Tech Innovators. The article shares how the project was founded by Raymond Ealy in 2014 and talks about their mission to inspire underrepresented and underserved K-12 students and their families through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM).

Project Homeless Connect – SF

Project Homeless Connect SFSince 2004, Project Homeless Connect – SF (PHC) has served the unhoused or at risk in San Francisco, making in impact in over 100,000 lives. After the recent loss of key funding that supports their very much needed work in the community, PHC launched a campaign to raise donations to help them continue to provide services to the community.

Just Equations

Just EquationsJust Equations invites STEM educators to attend their training session, Math as a Barrier and Opportunity for STEM Transfer. The session features educational leaders and experts who will share research and experiences on the issue of math education, which has been reported to be a major academic barrier for success with STEM students, especially those transferring from community college to careers in STEM. Explore the role that faculty, administrators, and policymakers can play in improving the path to STEM degrees and careers.

Vision Zero Network

Vision Zero NetworkThis month, Vision Zero Network is holding a webinar to support local governments to learn about and utilize Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) to make their communities safer. Slow Down Speeders: Using Intelligent Speed Assistance in Your Community is an hour-long webinar that will feature several recognized safety experts. Everyone is welcome to attend, and city staff advancing Vision Zero are particularly encouraged to join the webinar.

Bay Area Community Health Advisory Council

Lisa Tealer BACHACBay Area Community Health Advisory Council (BACHAC) Executive Director Lisa Tealer was recently interviewed by the SF Bay View, where she shared her experience leading the extremely impactful nonprofit. Learn about her experiences in nonprofit work that guided her in the transition from a successful career in biotech to the community-serving leadership position at BACHAC, where she’s led some of their most prominent programs, including Soul Stroll, Prostate Cancer Screening, Mental Health Initiatives, and others.
