Attendance Works
School attendance nationwide has not fully recovered since the pandemic, and the effects continue to show up in classrooms across the country. Attendance Works’ Hedy Chang went on CBS News in Los Angeles to highlight this continuing national decline in school attendance and what it means for student engagement and learning.
Their conversation highlights why monitoring attendance trends matters and how schools and communities can respond early when students begin missing too much school. Strengthening connections with students and families is an important part of helping students stay engaged and on track.
