Plastic Pollution Mitigation Fund

Informational Webinar by the California Environmental Protection Agency, California Natural Resources Agency, and California Strategic Growth Council | 3/26/2026

The California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA), California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA), and California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) invite you to participate in an informational webinar on the Plastic Pollution Mitigation Fund (PPMF or “the Fund”). During the webinar, representatives from each agency will provide an overview, discuss implementation, and highlight opportunities for the public to engage in and inform the development of the Fund.

About the Fund
The PPMF is a vital component of California’s Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act (Senate Bill 54, 2022). It represents a fundamental shift in how California addresses the environmental and health impacts of plastic waste, moving the responsibility for pollution cleanup from the public to producers of single-use plastic materials.

Beginning in July 2027, California will receive $500 million annually over ten years from plastic producers. This $5 billion total investment will be dedicated to repairing ecosystems, protecting the health of all Californians, and prioritizing benefits for the communities most affected by pollution.

Eastern Oregon Border Board Education and Workforce Training Grant | Oregon Community Foundation

$15,000-$20,000 | Due 3/31/2026

The Eastern Oregon Border Economic Development Board is charged with implementing investment strategies and practices in workforce and economic development in the region and to make grants to eligible applicants for encouraging regional workforce and economic development.

All grant awards must significantly impact education, workforce, and/or economic development capacity in the Border Region.

Priority will be given to programs and projects that:

Enhance prosperity in the Border Region
Improve the Border Region's property tax base
Improve the Border Region's competitiveness with Idaho
Increase workforce availability and skills in the Border Region
Improve the image of Border Region
Leverage the funds with a complement of outside funding

The Gold Beach Community Fund | Oregon Community Foundation

$500-$2,500 Grants | Due 4/1/2026

The Gold Beach Community Fund provides financial support for projects, activities and services with an aim of enhancing Central Curry County for citizens and visitors.

Guided by a Committee of local residents and administered by Oregon Community Foundation (OCF), the Gold Beach Community Fund’s objective is to provide grant funds for deserving local endeavors, in areas related to:

Recreational activity and facility development
Opportunities for cultural enhancement
Technical assistance and vocational projects
Academic and lifestyle improvements
Restoration of environmental assets
Youth-related facilities and activities

The Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD), in partnership with the Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA), has created this resource packet to support the San Francisco immigrant community.
