Meet Community Initiatives’ three newest board members

Dee Dee Mendoza, Abbas Moloo and Barbara Rhomberg join our board of directors.

From Dee Dee Mendoza: “Community Initiatives is helping the next generation of nonprofit innovators and problem solvers test their models, and focus on delivering and improving their services. I want to help build a strong Oakland for my children, and a strong community needs a robust nonprofit sector. I see Community Initiatives as an important factor in that equation.”

Dr. Bronner’s features Latino Outdoors, recipient of their Employee Contribution Program

Latino Outdoors was nominated last year to be a part of Dr. Bronner’s Employee Contribution Program, which allows Dr. Bronner’s employees to nominate organizations that they think deserve more attention. Dr. Bronner’s 200+ employees decides which organization they want to direct funds to, and the company donates $100 on each employee’s behalf to the organization of their choice.
