Mission Science Workshop

Mission Science WorkshopCome visit Mission Science Workshop the next three Saturdays in February for free hands-on science the whole family can enjoy. They offer a variety of community programs that are fun and accessible for those who enjoy science, art, and curiosity.

The upcoming Saturday events will be held from 10am–3pm the following dates and locations:

  • 2/10 Mission Site
  • 2/17 Excelsior Workshop
  • 2/24 Bayview Workshop

The community is also welcome for Tinker Tuesday, 3-5pm at the Excelsior Workshop, and Tinker Thursday, 3-5pm at the Mission Site.

Latino Outdoors

Latino OutdoorsNext week, Latino Outdoors will be going live with For the Love of Birds. This informational live-stream panel discussion is about birding conservation and career pathways moderated by Melodie Mendez, New York & Northeast Regional Coordinator for Latino Outdoors. The panel features Hector Cordero, Author and Birding Conservationist; Roslyn Rivas, Public Programs Manager, Audubon NYC; and Sebastian Moreno, Environmental Conservation PhD Candidate, University of Massachusetts.

For the Love of Birds will be held live on Facebook and LinkedIn, Monday, February 12 at 2:00 PM.


Gameheads

GameheadsGameheads and Xbox have partnered to showcase Black-created games in recognition of Black History Month. Academic Resilience Consortium (ARC)

Academic Resilience ConsortiumEarly bird registration for the Academic Resilience Consortium’s 2024 Conference, Reach For Resilience, is now LIVE! Join higher education professionals for the opportunity to expand knowledge through engaging sessions and discussions, guest speakers, time for collaboration, and networking. ARC is hosting the event in collaboration with Winston-Salem State University, North Carolina. Early bird pricing is available through February 28, 2024.
