Women in Data Science (WiDS)

Women in Data Science WiDSJoin WiDS the first week of February for their virtual WiDS Ile Ife | 3-Day Datathon Workshop. The workshop aims to provide both women and men with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the field of data science. Through interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and real-world case studies, participants will gain practical experience and insights into the data science industry. This workshop is open to all data science enthusiasts and those with an interest in the field.

Pre-Health Dreamers

Pre-Health DreamersPre-Health Dreamers is holding several events over the next few months, including two in February. Creating Financial Aid Support for Undocumented Students in Dentistry will be held February 13, 2024 and provide organizations the opportunity to learn new strategies for expanding institutional aid to undocumented students. Including Undocumented Students in DEI Efforts will be held February 26, 2024 and offer insight for organizations to better aid undocumented students by establishing programming centered around the missions and vision of participating institutions.

National Writing Project (NWP)

National Writing ProjectWhat is “rhetorical problem-solving” and what does it mean to “write rhetorically”? Learn more with NWP by listening to NWP Radio: Writing Rhetorically with Author Jennifer Fletcher – Teach Write Now. Jennifer Fletcher is a professor of English at CSU Monterey Bay and the author of Writing Rhetorically: Fostering Responsive Thinkers and Communicators. She will also be holding a two-week NWP course, Teaching Argument Writing Rhetorically later this spring.

Level the Playing Field (LTPF)

Level the Playing FieldLTPF welcomes you to join them as they hold their Inaugural Charity Golf Tournament this March at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, North Carolina. The tournament provides an opportunity for attendees to unwind and get to know LTPF’s students and learn more about the nonprofit’s mission. All levels of golfers are welcome to join this relaxed evening of play and opportunity to make new connections.
