SF Hep B Free
SF Hep B Free’s 3rd Annual Hep B 5K Hero Run/Walk will be held this July at Chrissy Field in San Francisco, CA. The event provides an opportunity for people to learn about hepatitis B, which has been shown to take a life every 30 seconds. Most of the lives impacted by hepatitis B are Asian, with 1 in 12 Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) suffering from chronic infection. Without treatment or monitoring, 1 in 4 of these individuals will die from liver cancer or liver failure. Supporters of the event will help SF Hep B Free to reach their fundraising goal so they can continue their work by increasing access to affordable testing and vaccination and provide linkage to care for chronically-affected individuals.
The event will be held July 27, 2024. Learn more and register for the event here.
