The Carpentries

The CarpentriesRegister now for The Carpentries final event in their 25th Anniversary Celebration Series. The virtual event will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 13:00 UTC. Monthly celebrations began on July 24th, the same day when the first Carpentries workshop led by Greg Wilson came to a close in 1998 in North America at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The December event will spotlight The Carpentriesā€™ subcommunities in Asia. Join them in celebrating the impact of this community and in wishing The Carpentries a happy 25th anniversary!

Immigrants Rising

Immigrants RisingImmigrants Rising supports and empowers immigrant entrepreneurs in California through grants from the Spark Social Entrepreneurs for Economic Development (SEED) Initiative. Since its launch in 2020, the initiative has given away +714 grants and nearly $4,000,000. In their latest initiatives, you can now shop grant awardeesā€™ immigrant-owned businesses through Spark Marketplace.

MENTOR California

MENTOR CaliforniaMENTOR Californiaā€™s executive director Marcus Strother was recently on Sacramentoā€™s FOX40 to promote the benefits of mentoring and their Artist and Mentor mixer coming up after the holidays in Sacramento. He also provided the hosts with limited edition MENTOR California hats that the organization has been giving out to donors this past year. The hats feature patches designed in partnership with Northern Californiaā€™s Bart Bridge.
