I’m happy to announce that this year marks Community Initiatives’ twenty-fifth year In Service to Great Ideas generated by and for the nonprofit sector. We thank you for being a part of our success and recognize that we wouldn’t be able to accomplish this without you.
Community Initiatives began as part of the San Francisco Community Foundation when the need for fiscal sponsorship was identified. In 1996, Community Initiatives became a stand-alone nonprofit agency. When Community Initiatives separated from the San Francisco Community Foundation, we expanded to support organizations both inside and outside the San Francisco Bay Area. Now, we partner with over 115 projects in 27 states across the U.S. and in four countries.
For our twenty-five-year celebration, we plan to present new items that we hope will enrich our ability to assist our fiscally sponsored projects (FSPs) and the greater nonprofit community. These include:
- Educational social media and blog posts
- A special anniversary-version annual report
- Training videos
- Lunch n’ Learns (new opportunities for FSPs to share)
- White papers on impact and survey results
- Quarterly newsletters
- Project newsletters
- A video tribute (you’ll receive an invitation, and we hope you will participate)
I hope you will join us for this year-long celebration. We’re very proud of the success we’ve had over the past twenty-five years and look forward to continued growth and achievements on behalf of all our past, current, and future projects and the greater nonprofit sector for the next twenty-five years.
Best,
Ruth Williams
