Michael Ngo

Michael joined Community Initiatives’ finance team as a consultant before accepting a position as Project Accountant. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having held accounting roles for the past 10 years in several industries, including construction, property management, manufacturing, education, and sports. While this is Michael’s first experience in the nonprofit field, his extensive work with various team sizes, financial systems, and industry-specific software provides him with a breadth and variety of experiences that benefit the organization’s diverse portfolio of projects.

A Bay Area native, Michael was born and raised in Oakland, and graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in Economics.

Outside of work, Michael is passionate about all things fitness. In particular, he enjoys weightlifting, and started training Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He enjoys traveling to new places and trying new food.
