Vahida Khan

Raised in Southern California and shaped by her South Asian heritage, Vahida developed a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and a firsthand understanding of the challenges immigrant families face. These experiences inspired her lifelong commitment to community advocacy and social justice, values that continue to guide her work in the nonprofit sector.

Vahida earned her degree in Communication from Cal Poly Pomona, which laid the foundation for her people-focused and mission-driven career. With over five years of human resources experience across nonprofit and for-profit organizations, she specializes in HR operations, employee support, and fostering inclusive, values-aligned workplace cultures. She also has a strong background in fiscal sponsorship, supporting a diverse range of nonprofit projects and grassroots initiatives. Her earlier roles in restaurants, education, and event planning have shaped her adaptable, service-oriented approach to collaboration and problem-solving.

Outside of work, Vahida enjoys traveling to explore new cultures and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. She also likes unwinding with early 2000s sitcoms and rom coms, discovering new restaurants, attending concerts, and seeking out experiences that inspire both personal and professional growth. She believes that staying curious and being open to new perspectives enriches her life and work.
